Spring was fairly rainy and average temperatures were high. A very dry and warm Summer followed. Some wet and rainy days in September have helped a complete and balanced growth of vines . Wines have a great aromatic base and are high in concentration. Harvest period: 6th September - 10th October
The Badia a Coltibuono Riserva, our most classic wine, is made exclusively from autoctonous grapes. It is loved by wine aficionados worldwide and is considered to be a true emblem of the Chianti territory.
A small section of the olive groves, those at Podere Albereto, is dedicated to the production of this very special oil.Only a limited quantity is bottled. It is produced from several varieties of olive, principally Frantoio and Leccino, and smaller quantities of Moraiolo and Maurino. It has a deep emerald green hue.
