Olio

The Excellence of an Ancient Tradition

1° Franto extra virgin olive oil represents one of the most authentic and precious expressions of the Badia a Coltibuono estate, where olive cultivation has been documented since the Middle Ages. Ancient archives testify that as early as the early 19th century, the oil cellar held sixty barrels of oil, evidence of a production that has always been an integral part of the history and identity of the area.

“Albereto” was born from one of the oldest possessions of Coltibuono. This particular selection contains the elegance of Tuscan EVO oil.

Harvest 2025: For the olive groves of Badia a Coltibuono, organically managed for thirty years, this was a significant year. Weather conditions influenced the quantity of olives harvested, but the oil yield increased by several percentage points compared to previous seasons. The oil produced shows uncommon intensity and aroma — a fruity olive oil of excellent quality.

Harvest period: October/November 2025
